The existence

Why does this page exist while everyone is using Social Media already?Just like any other teenager, I do have Social Media, and I was actively using and posting on them. I have to admit that tech companies did a great job to hook everyone into them. More than a year ago, I started to write and publish notes using Quartz. At first, I was sharing CTFs write-ups, because people in my team wanted to see how I finished the challenge. And suddenly, I wrote more, not just documenting my way of solving problems, but random things. It slowly replacing my need for Social Media, not fully. But I felt more “free”. Freedom in building this website, freedom in writing, and freedom from any dependencies on the Internet. As it should be! A younger version of myself would not mind opening several accounts on Instagram, Facebook, or X (Twitter) for different purposes. Became dependent on tech billionaires, not knowing that, I have just become vulnerable to Zuckerberg or Musk’s randomly whims.1

After 1 year and 3 months, this place has grown into a small garden, a piece of my brain, and hopefully a place for you to seeking knowledge and joy.

Digital Garden

The garden is our counterbalance. Gardens present information in a richly linked landscape that grows slowly over time. Everything is arranged and connected in ways that allow you to explore. Think about the way Wikipedia works when you’re hopping from Bolshevism to Celestial Mechanics to Dunbar’s Number. It’s hyperlinking at it’s best. You get to actively choose which curiosity trail to follow, rather than defaulting to the algorithmically-filtered ephemeral stream. The garden helps us move away from time-bound streams and into contextual knowledge spaces.2

No gardens are the same, and no two gardeners will tend to their gardens in the same way. The same goes for digital gardens. They can be as unique as the person who creates them. This garden is being tailored following the Zettelkatsen method and my own way of writing.
